Who Truly Organized the Jaffna University Vesak Event?” – Student Union Statement Debunks Viral Claims, Sparks Controversy!
In the statement issued by the Faculty of Management Studies at Jaffna University yesterday, they have clearly stated that it was “a recent Vesak celebration event organized by Sinhalese students within our faculty”. In other words, he clearly states that the event was organized by the Sinhala students of the Faculty of Management Studies.
So, why are the two following people writing such a false statement and trying to make it viral:
“This Vesak event was organized by the Faculty of Management Studies of Jaffna University. Since majority of the members including its chairman are Tamil students, the organizers of this event were Tamil students. “
If the Student Union or Tamil students actually organized this event with their own core, it would definitely be a welcome development.
However, since the situation is not, what exactly do they expect from trying to spread the false opinion that the event is organized by Tamil students?
